Places to Shop

Here are some places to shop for craft supplies and their mini “reviews” for you. I hope these help!

Dollar Tree

A cheaper option (which I love), to get lots of craft supplies and materials. Lately Dollar tree has been adding more and more craft supplies to their shelves and I am so happy about that. Nowadays, you can usually go there and find a range of things from hot glue sticks to canvases. Personally, I get both of those things there because I do not necessarily care about the quality. However, the quality of most of the things I’ve bought from there isn’t too bad. Please, try them out and let me know how it works out.

Five Below

Five Below is slightly more expensive than Dollar Tree but they have some great finds! (P.S. they have lots of notebooks and cute calendars) but they also have bigger and differing sized canvases, paint supplies and many drawing resources as well. Check them out, I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

Walmart

I rarely go to Walmart in general, let alone for craft supplies. My reason being is if I am going to get cheap (low cost) craft supplies I will go to Dollar Tree, and if I am going to get more expensive craft supplies, I am going to Hobby Lobby. Walmart doesn’t have bad craft supplies, in fact, they have a wide range of craft supplies, including lots of yarns and such. I just prefer not to go there. If Walmart is a place you go to shop, don’t be hesitant to get craft supplies there. I am not trying to bash them, it’s just not my first choice.

Michaels

I don’t recall ever actually going to Michaels. I might have gone once. This isn’t for any particular reason, I just haven’t ever really lived near one, and I would rather go to other craft stores that I know of. That being said, I can’t tell you anything about it. This suggestion was more of a “you should be aware that this is a craft store and if you find one, you could try it out”. If you do, let me know on my contact page what you found.

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is my absolute favorite store ever. Good thing to note: they are on the more expensive side of craft stores (in my opinion). However, they are so wonderful to go into and simply walk around in and find inspiration. For me, they are more than just a store, they are an experience. Some reasons are that they always play instrumental Christian music, they feel nice to be in, they’re clean and they have so many craft supplies, cute decorations, and so much more. If you are even somewhat into arts and crafts (or not at all), I recommend you going to Hobby Lobby at least once (though I think you might want to go back). I genuinely have gone in there so many times, yet I do not fail to go back (even when I don’t have money to spend in there). They have almost every area of craft you could imagine. They have yards of fabric of different kinds, huge canvases, wood burning kits, stamps, lots of stickers and paper, scrapbooking materials and the list goes on! If you can’t already tell, this is my strongest recommendation.
