Hi!
All the other articles I’ve written so far have been more like magazine style articles so I wanted to try one that is more like a life update. (I know, you might not want to hear about my life) and that is totally okay! I’ll just write this for anyone that wants to read something more personal. I don’t even know what I want to write about yet. I do know that if I went on someone else’s blog, I would like to hear about their life every now and then.
So, I am going into my senior year of high school. I have a mixture of sad feelings because it is my last year and happy feelings because it is my last year. I am excited to have another fun year of adventures in high school and Bible studies but I also don’t like the fact that after I finish that year, comes college and me moving away. I will sincerely miss all my friends at school (and it’s not even like I have a ton of close friends at school), it’s just that I have grown very close to a lot of the people and teachers at my school because I’ve practically been there since 4th grade. I love SC and the rivers and waterfalls and mountains there, as well as the family I will be closer to when I move for college, but I have grown to love the hot FL summers in some ways. It’s kind of surreal that I’m in my last year of high school, though. Like, it all went way too fast, yet I can tell you that some of those years felt like they took forever. Time has a way of playing tricks on us like that.
Well, on to the next topic I suppose, it is still summer. I have had a good summer. I feel like it’s flown by (as usual). It also doesn’t feel like I’ve done that much, but I have done some to get better at skills that I have. I took up tap dancing and I have had a lot of fun with that. I was told that if I want to add to my experience in order to become a better choreographer, that I should learn tap dance. So, I started dancing! It is really fun and a lot like drum exercises for your hands. It has similar patterns to learn and practice. Besides from that, I have been doing so many crafts and paintings. I love painting and giving my creations to people to encourage them, cheer them up, etc. It gives me more joy than even receiving a gift. I also started to watch the “Dick Van Dyke Show”. It is an older show that is a comedy. I like it. And I have been consistently working out! That is a constant struggle. Truly a battle against the flesh. The thing is I like dancing and I want to get better at it, so that requires working out as a supplement to my dancing. If you have any fun or different workout suggestions (or dance things) I would love to hear them through my contact page!
Well, that is it for now! I hope you enjoyed this even if there wasn’t much substance. Let me know if you like the life update style or if you want more of something else. I am working on other articles for yall so please try and be patient and read any other ones I have in the meantime:)
Here is are some Bible verses that I hope will encourage or challenge you in some way:
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Galatians 5:16-18
