Prayer for Loneliness
Holy Spirit,
Please be with the reader right now and let them feel Your presence all around them but ultimately know You’re with them regardless of their feelings. Let them love You and feel Your love. Let them see the proof of Your great and deep love in the Bible. In Romans 8 and in how You died for them. Let them see how truly awe-some that is. Let them know that they’re not alone. Never truly alone. Never. You’re always there listening, waiting. Watching over them and caring for them, even if they can’t see it or feel it at the time. I pray for the reader that You would hear their cries and show them one day how all of their cries were heard and were not neglected. All of what they said in whispered voices and choked out sobs came to Your ear and You heard and took to heart. To Your heart. And You care for them and love them. Be with the reader and let them know You’re here for them now and always. No matter how hard it gets, no matter how lonely they feel, no matter the hurt deep in their soul, You are here.
In Jesus precious name, Amen.
By the way, I once looked up the meaning of “amen” and all it means is ‘let it be done’ or ‘so be it’. So I think it’s kind of like a last petition to end the prayer and asking God to let whatever you asked or whatever you said be done.
Romans 8 (specifically verses 31-39)
